In a society dominated for the last 45 years by the invisible economic order of neoliberalism where everyone is taught, raised and conditioned to compete and are pitched against one another, where competition is exacerbated with the advent of social media, where the attainment of logos, cars, material products ad infinitum are seen as symbols of success due to the economic competitive conditioning there is a silent scream. It is a deafening wail of anxiety, driven by the desperate need for affirmation, that we choose to remain blind to, where humans are reduced to nothing more than faceless unimportant consumers forever chasing the branded carrot to achieve freedom, happiness and acceptance.
